Happy July! When thinking of summertime and food, many of us think of fresh and delicious seafood. While we do not have seafood tastings on our New York City Walking Tours, we surely can recommend some of the best places to visit! 1. The Mermaid Inn: this cute restaurant has two main locations and an added bonus! Summer is finally here and we are now in store for warm weather, leisurely strolls through the park, exploring NYC streets… and tasting yummy food. After taking a New York City food tour, many of you enjoy exploring NYC through food on your own. We would like to share with you some of the latest food crazes, that being food trucks and flea markets. Believe it or not– this is one of the best ways to “dine” in NYC and it’s very affordable. One of the best things about living in Astoria is having yummy and affordable restaurants. Ahoy’s Philly Trip! One word… Cheesesteak
Recently Ahoy NY decided to take a trip to Philly. During our visit sure we stopped by the museums and learned about the history of America, but we also made it a point to try a couple of yummy cheesesteaks!! During our two day visit we tried two cheesesteaks. On our first day we stopped at the famous Pat’s King of Steaks, which by the way is the ORIGINAL Philly Cheesesteak. Be prepared when you go to know HOW to order! You let them know with or withOUT onions and select the cheese. The Philly classic of course is with Cheez Wiz and onions.
