More details to help you prepare for your tour of Chinatown and Little Italy

Tickets must be purchased in advance. This is because tickets are limited and our tours typically sell out quickly. For a better chance of getting the day, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can be purchased with a Visa, Discover AMEX, or MasterCard either online or by phone. Cash is not accepted.

Yes, all of our guests must purchase a ticket whether or not they plan on participating in the food tastings. Non-paying individuals will not be able to join the tour for any reason(s). The ticket fees not only cover the food tastings, they also pay for your tour guide(s) wages. Tour guides offer valuable information throughout our tours regarding history, architecture, culture and restaurant recommendations.

Unfortunately, we do not have a waiting list. If the time slot you’d like is sold out, we suggest you check another date/time for availability!

The tours are held in rain, snow or shine. We ask that you make sure to check the weather on the day of your tour and dress appropriately (bring an umbrella if necessary). On days of inclement weather, we will do our best to use indoor space as much as possible.  A Taste of Mulberry Street tour has the least outdoor time and may be a good option during inclement weather.

While we offer reduced tickets for children, our tours are mainly for a mature audience in that we taste ethnic cuisine and dive deeply into history and culture. Sometimes we find that children of a young age may become easily disengaged. Although we are a family-friendly tour company, please take care in knowing if your child will enjoy the experience prior to booking. We find that children 10 years old and older enjoy our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest tour. In regards to our A Taste of Mulberry Street tour we suggest ages 15 and up. If you have questions about bringing young children, please feel free to contact us.

There are seven tastings on our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest and three hearty tastings on our A Taste of Mulberry Street tour. Both tours are considered a meal. We do encourage a light breakfast or lunch before the tour, as the tour is not intended to replace two meals. Most participants leave our tours feeling comfortably full.

We will be on our feet and outdoors for most of the tour, so please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Please dress appropriately for the day’s weather including bringing an umbrella on rainy days, wearing warm layers on cold days, and cool clothing on hot days.

Gratuities are graciously appreciated, though not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%.
