Looking for fun foodie things to do in New York City?

Spring officially starts on March 20th this year but with all the nice weather lately it really does feel like spring is around the corner. Spring is one of the best seasons when it comes to special events, annual festivals, foodie holidays and more. So here is our list of 7 fun things to do in New York City, spring 2023. There are always new, exciting Broadway shows and musicals that debut in NYC but this year we are especially excited to learn about the debut of New York, New York and we can’t wait to learn more. What we do know is that it takes place in our favorite city in the world, and it is loosely based on the 1977 film with the same name.

International Pillow Fight Day – April 1

April 1 is not only April Fool’s Day, but it is also the International Pillow Fight Day! This is no joke as there will be huge pillow fights in cities across the world. Come to Washington Square Park with your fluffy pillows to participate and to join in on all the fun.

A fun way to celebrate Easter with friends and family is to check out all the crazy and outlandish hats at the Easter Parade & Bonnet Festival. Plus, if you have a crazy hat, you can participate too. This festival will take place on Fifth Avenue from 49th Street to 57th Street (centered around the St Patrick’s Cathedral) and starts at 10 AM.

Visit a Botanical Garden

You can celebrate spring and all the beautiful blooming flowers by visiting one of the seven botanical gardens in New York City. Be on the lookout for the Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden too. Similarly, there is also the Macy’s Flower Show if you are looking for breathtaking floral displays.

The world’s famous ice-skating rink at Rockefeller Center becomes a groovy roller skate rink during the warmer months and this is where you can relive the magic of the 1970’s. This sounds like a ton of fun for all ages. It will open sometime in April.
