Museum goers have a lot to be excited for in 2025 too. The New Museum (235 Bowery), the Frick Collection (1 E 70th St) and the Studio Museum (144 W 125th St) will all reopen next year after finishing their big renovation and expansion projects. We are constantly checking in to see what these museums will do with all the new exhibition and event space.

Visit Central Park and the Harlem Meer Center

Another big renovation project finishing in 2025 is the Harlem Meer Center in Central Park. It is located where Lasker Rink and Pool used to be, around 110th Street. This new recreational space will feature a huge pool during the summer (one of the biggest in New York City), an ice rink during the winter and new green space for sports, relaxing and everything in between. So it sounds like fun for the whole family all year round.

Try New Restaurants

L and L Hawaiian BarbecueP.C.: L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Finally, we are always on the lookout for new, can’t miss foodie destinations. Dominique Ansel (the inventor of the cronut) is opening a new bakery, Papa d’Amour (64 University Place) in the East Village. It will specialize in Asian inspired treats like egg tarts and milk breads. Also L&L Hawaiian Barbecue was one of our favorite lunch spots and it just reopened in the Lower East Side (201 Allen Street) and has another location opening soon in Bushwick (902 Broadway, Brooklyn). We can’t wait to get their chicken with Hawaii-inspired barbecue sauce, loco moco (a Hawaiian comfort food) and Spam musubi again.
