If you ask us, brunch is the best meal of the week! With so many choices in New York City, it something to look forward to every weekend. So from the best pancakes to the juiciest fried chicken, here is our list of the top seven brunch spots in NYC.

First off, chicken and waffles are a staple for brunch and the best chicken and waffles can be found at Pies ‘n’ Thighs. Their fried chicken is unbelievably juicy and it is served with buckwheat waffles, maple syrup, cinnamon butter and cranberries. This is one dish that will have you coming back for more!

Eggs and bacon on a pizza? Trust us, it is a delicious combination and the breakfast pizza was a specialty at Pulino’s Pizzeria, which unfortunately closed a couple of years back. But we recently tried Gelso & Grand version of the breakfast pizza and it is equally as delicious.

Once Upon a Tart – 135 Sullivan St

Similarly Once Upon a Tart closed a year or two back but fortunately this story has a happy ending. It reopened recently and we are so glad that they are back. Their tarts are simply divine and they have a full brunch menu to pair with their amazing tarts.

Clinton St Baking Company is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in the Lower East Side and the lines can be long especially during brunch hours. But their pancakes are absolutely worth it! They are light and fluffy and it may in fact be the best pancakes in New York City.

Cafe Petisco – 189 E Broadway

Cafe Petisco is another great spot for brunch in the Lower East Side. It is a warming and inviting spot with a scrumptious crab benedict. Speaking of which, keep an eye out for the lobster benedict at Burger & Lobster (39 W 19th St) too.

Benchmark has an exciting pre-fixe brunch menu with highlights like their tomato gazpacho, their signature juicy Benchmark burger and a yummy crab cake benedict. Also you also can’t go wrong with their omelettes, french toasts and pancakes. Benchmark is easily one of go to brunch spots week after week.

Finally, Jack’s Wife Freda is yet another top notch brunch spot that should be on everyone’s radar. We especially recommend their rosewater waffle and green shakshuka.
