Nothing is more satisfying than a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter day or when you really need a quick pick-me-up. So if you love coffee like us, you are in luck! There are a ton of great places for a good coffee in New York City and here are the best coffee shops in New York City.

Why Not Coffee – 175 Orchard St
We have to start the list with Why Not Coffee because why not? This is one of the premier spots for coffee and it has a great atmosphere and vibe about it. In fact, it is one of our go to places to meet with friends or maybe to do some work.

Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee – 138 West 10th St & Other Locations
Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee has a huge selection of coffees so there is something for everyone. It is was once one of the best kept secrets in New York City but now the secret is out. Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee can get crowded at times but it is well worth it!

Coffee Nook – 10 Elizabeth St
A couple of years ago there weren’t too many option for an excellent cup of coffee in Chinatown. Coffee Nook in the heart of Chinatown is seeking to change that. It is tiny little place (they share a storefront with a laundromat) but they can brew an excellent cup of coffee that has us coming back time after time.

Kaffe 1668 – 275 Greenwich St & Other Locations
Kaffe 1668 is a quirky, little coffee shop in TriBeCa. You know you are in the right place when you see their wall of stuffed sheep toys. It is our pick for the best cappuccino in New York City.

House of Small Wonder – 77 N 6th St, Brooklyn
We can’t forget about Brooklyn. There are also a ton of great coffee shops there. Our favorite has to be House of Small Wonder. It is a cozy place that has kind of a Speakeasy feel about it. Like every spot of this list their coffee is top notch and it is sure to make you say mmm-mmm good.

Nolita Mart & Espresso Bar – 156 Mott St
Finally if you are looking for a very, very strong cup of coffee (got to have that caffeine!), check out the espresso bar in front of the Nolita Mart. They are one of the few coffee shops in New York City to have Kyoto drip. It will definitely wake you up.
