The Best Chocolate Shops in New York City
We have a little confession. We have a bit of a sweet tooth and we love chocolate! Lucky for us and lucky for chocolate fans, there are a number of good chocolate shops which always keep things exciting. Here are the best chocolate shops in New York City.
Max Brenner – 841 Broadway
Max Brenner just off of Union Square is one of the go to spots for all things chocolate. Looking for hot chocolate, chocolate pancakes, chocolate cake or even something like chocolate pizza? Max Brenner has it!
Jacques Torres Chocolate – 327 Lafayette St & Other Locations
We seemingly go to Jacques Torres Chocolate almost every week. We love, love their chocolate chip cookies and their hot chocolate. They also have a range of chocolate covered treats like chocolate covered raisins and chocolate covered cheerios so it is great place to shop, especially if you are looking for a small gift or two.
Kee’s Chocolates – 80 Thompson St & Other Locations
A box of assorted chocolate bites from Kee’s Chocolates is always a fun foodie adventure and they are quite addictive. One favorite of ours is their chocolate covered crème brûlée is absolutely divine and it tastes as good as it sounds.
Vosges Haut-Chocolat – 132 Spring St & 1100 Madison Avenue
Near Kee’s Chocolates in SoHo is Vosges Haut-Chocolat. They have a number of interesting chocolate bars like their chocolate bacon bar, the guajillo and chipotle chili chocolate bar and the spirulina and matcha green tea chocolate bar, all very good. It is a great place to shop for chocolate lovers who want to try something a little different.
La Maison du Chocolat – 63 Wall St & Other Locations
La Maison du Chocolat is a French chocolate shop and it is luxury at its best. Specifically, their chocolate truffles are just pure bliss with every bite and they are also great gifts (or a great treat for yourself).
Roni-Sue’s Chocolates – 120 Essex St & 148 Forsyth Street
Finally Roni Sue Chocolate is a mainstay at the Essex Street Market. We can’t resist swinging by their stand every time we are in the area. If you haven’t tried their Pig Candy (chocolate covered bacon) yet we can’t recommend it enough.
