Super Bowl Food Ideas in New York City

It is a very fun and exciting time to be in the New York and New Jersey area. The NFL season just flew by and the Super Bowl is only a few days away! To help you prepare, here are some Super Bowl food ideas in New York City.

Forty Ate Steakhouse – 714 Seventh Ave at West 48th St
Forty Ate (in celebration of Super Bowl XLVIII) is a Super Bowl theme pop up steakhouse. We are not sure what to expect but it is located just off the Super Bowl Boulevard in Times Square. Danny Meyer is running Forty Ate Steakhouse so the burgers, steaks and more are sure to be top notch. There will also be football memorabilia curated by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on display.

The 50 Yard Lounge – One Penn Plaza
The 50 Yard Lounge is a five day Super Bowl theme food and wine festival (Jan 29- Feb 2), featuring some of the biggest stars in the foodie and football world. On their events calendar, there are Q&A’s, demonstrations and of course a ton of food tastings.

Taquitoria – 168 Ludlow St
Taquitoria specializes in taquitos, rolled tacos usually filled with beef, chicken or cheese. They are quite addictive and they make great snacks for just about any Super Bowl party.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que – 700 W 125th St
You can’t have a Super Bowl party without some chicken wings and our favorite is from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Their jumbo BBQ chicken wings come with six different options of sauces with varying levels of hottest. Our preference is their mild honey BBQ sauce but if you love hot sauce, they also have you covered.

Fatty ‘Cue – 50 Carmine St
Fatty ‘Cue has catering packages available for the Super Bowl and it is great way to make a splash for your Super Bowl get together. A whole roasted pig, brisket and lamb shoulder and other Southern BBQ staples is on the menu and they all sound delicious.

Professor Thom – 219 2nd Ave
There will also be Super Bowl celebrations and watching parties in many restaurants and practically every bar in the city. One of note is Professor Thom, a sports bar that is sure to be buzzing during the Super Bowl. They have the best nachos in New York City. It is just loaded with toppings including cheese, salsa and guacamole.
