Let’s Visit Abruzzo: An Online Italian Cooking Class

Ahoy NY Virtual Cooking Class

Ahoy NY Virtual Cooking Experiences are back this fall!

The world is opening up again and many are ready to get back to their “normal” lives and activities. For some, though, last year brought a whole new way to cook and learn, to travel safely from their homes, and to make new friends virtually…and that’s not something some of us are planning on saying arrivederci to just yet!

We’ve been super excited to be out on tour again but we’re equally excited to get back into the Ahoy NY kitchen this fall! We’ll continue our monthly virtual cooking vacations we started just a few months ago through Italy, via it’s culinary history and recipes. We’ll provide the ingredients and equipment list upon booking, so you can get ready for the class. Then get ready to cook alongside the Ahoy NY hosts, who will show you every step in making the traditional and authentic Italian recipes, which are sure to impress your family and friends.

Italian Virtual Online Cooking Class

This month, join us on Saturday, September 18th on our virtual trip to Abruzzo! We’ll be making a traditional pasta not often seen outside of the region called Taconnelle. It’s characteristic rhombus shape with simply seasoned dough, will be paired with a rustic fresh tomato sauce and Pallotte Cace e Ove (fried cheese “meatless” meatballs). These mouth-watering dishes pay homage to Abruzzo’s traditional peasant cuisine. They are perfect for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! We hope you’ll join us on our culinary adventure and bring a friend or two! Visit our virtual experience page to book your spot.

What are people saying about our virtual cooking experiences?

We participated in one of their virtual Italian lunch hours. I was initially skeptical as what would a virtual lunch actually look like. It turned out to be a wonderful and interactive experience with my whole family. There was some fun (and interesting) trivia, a scavenger hunt, and obviously cooking a savory meal. Alana and our host Liz were very professional and easy going. It felt natural and comfortable talking and learning from them. Would highly recommend this unique experience.–CF via Google reviews

Wonderful food tours of Chinatown and Little Italy. Available now are zoom cooking classes which are loads of fun in this time of limited travel. Highly recommend this company!–NycStyleCannoli, PA
