Finally got tickets to a Broadway show and want to plan a fun day around it? With everything from one of a kind parks with breath taking views to top notch art museums, here are seven fun things to do in New York City before a Broadway show.

Bryant Park is just a short walk from all the Broadway theaters and there is so much to do here! In the summer, you can play board games by the carousel, challenge someone in ping pong, check out the art cart or just relax on the lawn. In the winter, you have the holiday shops and the only free ice skating rink in New York City.

New York Public Library

Behind Bryant Park, is the main branch of the New York Public Library, the Stephen A Schwarzman Building. It is honestly more like a museum. There are tons of art and even fascinating exhibits throughout this historic building. Plus you have to check out the Rose Main Reading Room which is a landmark in itself and it is also where the Ghostbusters movie was filmed!

Hudson Yards

On the West Side, the Hudson Yards is also within walking distance from all the Broadway theaters. There are a bunch of interesting shopping and dining options here. You can also check out the Vessel and walk along the High Line, both offer great views of New York City.
