Let’s celebrate the Tuscan culture with a popular winter dish, Pappardelle ai Funghi e Panna (Pappardelle with a Porcini mushroom cream sauce)! Ahoy New York Tours and Tasting will virtually host you as you learn to make this hearty, Tuscan creamy pasta and mushroom dish. We will ship you the main ingredients needed for this recipe such as: imported dried Porcini mushrooms, dry pappardelle and imported Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. There will also be a special dessert already prepared for you to enjoy after all your hard work.
Our hosts will start with ice-breakers, lead a kitchen scavenger hunt, play a fun trivia game and then dive right into making the pappardelle ai funghi—while we also make sure to sprinkle in some interesting history and facts about the dish and its region of origin.
This dish will take approximately 30-40 minutes to make. Once your meal is ready, it will be time for you to enjoy your dish and surprise dessert. As you are nibbling and chit chatting, our host will make sure to stay and answer any questions that you may have.
Lastly, the winning team/person from the scavenger hunt has a chance to win a food tour ticket!
