Are you looking for the best breakfast spots in Chinatown or Little Italy? You came to the right place! From fresh bagels to a hearty bowl of congee, here are our recommendations on where to eat breakfast in Chinatown and Little Italy.

Tria Diner – 1 E Broadway

Tria Diner is a classic, no frills, old school diner in Chinatown and this is a great place to go if you are looking for a hearty traditional breakfast. They have all the breakfast classics including eggs, home fries, bacon, pancakes, French toast and more. They also have delicious pastries if you are looking for breakfast on the go.

Mama Eatery – 46 Mulberry St A

Similarly, Mama Eatery also offers eggs, pancakes, waffles and the like. We usually like a little of everything so we often get the giant breakfast platter here. It will definitely give you the energy you need for the rest of the day.

Big Wong – 67 Mott St

Congee is an excellent way to start the day especially on chillier mornings. Big Wong has some of the best congee in the neighborhood but be sure to also check out our blog post on the best congee in New York City for even more delicious options.

The Good Sort – 5 Doyers St

If you are looking for something a little different in the neighborhood, the Good Sort is a vegan coffee shop and they offer unique takes on congee. They offer a ton of unusual toppings you can’t get anywhere else like maple granola, Champagne-poached cranberries and braised shiitake.

Mai Lai Wah – 64 Bayard St

Another traditional Chinese breakfast are buns and Mai Lai Wah has the best roast pork buns. These buns are good pick-me-ups and great on the go. They also have dim sum which can be tasty breakfast items if you are looking to mix things up a bit.

Black Seed Bagels – 170 Elizabeth St

Black Seed Bagels in Nolita has a fresh, modern take on the classic New York City bagel. These bagels are all hand rolled and baked with a wood fire oven. It just smells amazing as you walk through their door. You can get everything from the classic combination of lox and cream cheese on a bagel to something more usual like a pepperoni pizza bagel here.

Baz Bagel and Restaurant – 181 Grand St

Finally another great option for bagels is Baz Bagel in the heart of Little Italy. In addition, they have a huge breakfast menu with items like bagel sandwiches, omelets, fruit parfaits, blintzes and much, much more. So you can probably find whatever you are craving at the moment!
