On our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest tour, we walk no more than ½ a mile, and at a moderate pace. During the three hours, there are many standing breaks, so we aren’t always walking. There are a few opportunities to sit throughout the tour.
There is minimal walking for the A Taste of Mulberry Street tour. All tastings are seated on this tour.
On our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest tour, we taste foods from the oldest Italian cheese shop in America, an Italian specialty shop over 100 years old, an Italian pastry shop, a tasty surprise in Little Italy, an authentic Chinese dumpling shop, and the oldest tea parlor in Chinatown.
On our A Taste of Mulberry Street tour, we taste fresh pasta with robust & savory sauces, famous NYC pizza with unique toppings and sauces and a Food Network™ approved Italian pastry.
Food-tasting locations can change without notice.
Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting does its best to accommodate any dietary restrictions and allergies. Please alert us upon booking your tour. If you prefer you may also reach us at 518-332-4386.
The tours are held in rain, snow or shine. We ask that you make sure to check the weather on the day of your tour and dress appropriately (bring an umbrella if necessary). On days of inclement weather, we will do our best to use indoor space as much as possible. A Taste of Mulberry Street tour has the least outdoor time and may be a good option during inclement weather.
While we offer reduced tickets for children, our tours are mainly for a mature audience in that we taste ethnic cuisine and dive deeply into history and culture. Sometimes we find that children of a young age may become easily disengaged. Although we are a family-friendly tour company, please take care in knowing if your child will enjoy the experience prior to booking. We find that children 10 years old and older enjoy our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest tour. In regards to our A Taste of Mulberry Street tour we suggest ages 15 and up. If you have questions about bringing young children, please feel free to contact us.
