Join us for a Taste of Mulberry Street, a traveling feast through 3 NYC neighborhoods, Nolita, Little Italy and Chinatown. On this tour you will enjoy six hearty and dynamic tastings that represent five cultures– not to mention an opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine. Our knowledgeable tour guides will entertain you with exciting stories and secrets of Mulberry Street’s past and it’s ever changing food scene. Do you like learning about crime and police stories? This tour reveals the “real life” Law and Order of these neighborhoods, including former crime stories and insights into Mulberry Street’s fascinating past.
This tour is unique from our signature tour in that we explore multiple cuisines from around the world. On the Taste of Mulberry Street tour tastings will include foods from Spain, Italy, France, Vietnam and China. Some of the cuisine you will enjoy has been a part of Mulberry Street for several years– while many of the restaurants have recently become a part of the ever evolving Mulberry Street and its various neighborhoods. Start the tour by sinking your teeth into a traditional Spanish churro, followed by imported and delicious French cheeses. From there you will indulge in a slice of NYC style pizza with a twist, a dish of scrumptious pasta with an option to pair with the perfect glass of wine. During the last leg of the tour we’ll taste crunchy and savory Vietnamese spring rolls and finally a yummy dessert from a popular Chinatown dessert spot.
Imported French Cheeses
Popular Vodka Sauce Pizza
Scrumptious Fresh Pasta (Option to Pair with Wine)
Vietnamese Spring Rolls
Popular Chinatown Dessert
On both of our tours, we walk no more than ½ a mile, and at a moderate pace. During the three hours, there are many standing breaks, so we aren’t always walking. There are a few opportunities to sit throughout the tour. There is slightly more seating on the Taste of Mulberry Street tour.
There are seven tastings on our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest and six hearty tastings on our A Taste of Mulberry Street tour. Both tours are considered a meal. We do encourage a light breakfast or lunch before the tour, as the tour is not intended to replace two meals. Most participants leave our tours feeling comfortably full.
Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting does its best to accommodate any dietary restrictions and allergies. Please alert us upon booking your tour. If you prefer you may also reach us at 518-332-4386.
The tours are held in rain, snow or shine. We ask that you make sure to check the weather on the day of your tour and dress appropriately (bring an umbrella if necessary). On days of inclement weather, we will do our best to use indoor space as much as possible.
While we offer reduced tickets for children, our tours are mainly for a mature audience in that we taste ethnic cuisine and dive deeply into history and culture. Sometimes we find that children of a young age may become easily disengaged. Although we are a family-friendly tour company, please take care in knowing if your child will enjoy the experience prior to booking. We find that children 8 years old and older enjoy our Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest tour. In regards to our Taste of Mulberry Street tour we suggest ages 13 and up. If you have questions about bringing young children, please feel free to contact us.
