We have a diverse list of gift recommendations with everything from delicious, fresh baked cookies to historic New York City memorabilia. Here is our New York City/ foodie-themed holiday gift guide.
Handcrafted Gifts from New York City Artists
New York City is home to several popular markets in November and December such as the Brooklyn Flea and the holiday markets in Union Square, Grand Central, Bryant Park and Columbus Circle. These markets are great ways to see what crafts New York City artists and small businesses have to offer. In the past, we have gotten personalized charms, customized spice collections and one of a kind tie dyed shirts. So, there is a little something for everyone here.
Book an Ahoy New York Food Tour
A great foodie gift idea for both locals and visitors to New York City alike are tickets or gift certificates to an Ahoy New York food tour. We have two fun tours to choose from. The Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest is our signature food tour featuring many yummy tastings and Tasty Global Bites – A Culinary Journey is a tour that explores the diversity of cuisines that you can find in Nolita. Also if you are looking for a private foodie experience, our Market 57 Chelsea food tour and An Italian Feast in Little Italy dining experience are even more great gift ideas.
Tickets to the Christmas Spectacular

The Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes is probably one of the most famous Christmas-themed shows in the world, and they are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year! The show features catchy holiday music and amazing choreography making it truly fun for all ages. The Christmas Spectacular runs until Jan 4, 2026 at Radio City Music Hall.
Memorabilia from the New York City Subway

One of the many things that makes New York City so special is the subway. The New York Transit Museum gift shop (99 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, 2 Broadway & Grand Central) has a bunch of options that are perfect for anyone who loves trains, history or just New York City in general. One of the most interesting gifts that you can get this year is a special collectible metrocard, since they are now discontinued. They also have other fun subway-themed gifts like toy trains and buses, transit token pendants, bags, and shirts featuring the iconic subway map.
Food from Katz’s Deli
Katz’s Delicatessen (205 East Houston St) is New York City’s oldest and most iconic deli, and did you know you can get some of their legendary salami, corned beef and pastrami vacuum packed so that it can even be shipped across the United States? It is a yummy way to give them a taste of New York City.
Delicious Chocolates from a Chocolatier
Do your friends or family have a bit of a sweet tooth? You can get some top notch chocolates in New York City. Our go to places are Jacques Torres Chocolate (Grand Central Terminal & Other Locations) and Li-Lac Chocolates (75 Greenwich Ave & Other Locations). They have everything from huge holiday themed chocolate displays like snowmen and Santa Clauses and smaller scrumptious treats like truffles and chocolate covered raisins which are perfect as stocking stuffers.
Cookies from Famous NYC Bakeries
Finally, another sweet treat that makes a great gift are cookie trays – and New York City is home to so many amazing bakeries. Some of our favorite bakeries for cookies include Levain Bakery (340 Lafayette St & Other Locations), the Milk Bar (246 Mott St & Other Locations) and Chip City (298 Bleecker St & Other Locations). For those with allergies or for those looking for vegan cookies, Funny Face Bakery (319 Lafayette St & Other Locations) is a good option.
