The 7 Best Restaurants in New York City Near the High Line

Big Mozz Mozzarella Sticks

Built on the abandoned elevated train tracks on the west side of Manhattan, the High Line is one of the most unique and popular parks in New York City. The area near the High Line (Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen) has also been an exciting place for foodies! So with that in mind, here are the seven best restaurants in New York City near the High Line.

Los Tacos No 1 – 75 9th Ave

Los Tacos No 1

P.C.: Los Tacos No 1

Chelsea Market is a huge food hall that offers a little something for everyone! We go here almost every other week and we are still finding something new to try here. But one of our go to places and one of the most popular shops in Chelsea Market is Los Tacos No 1. Their tasty tacos are easily one of the best deals in all of New York City!

Big Mozz – 75 9th Ave

Big Mozz Burrata

It is no secret that we love cheese and we love Big Mozz also in Chelsea Market for their mozzarella sticks and their burrata paired with prosciutto. It is the perfect snack before you walk the High Line. We also recommend in Chelsea Market, The Lobster Place for their steamed lobsters and lobster rolls and Mok Bar for their ramen.

Wing Club – 353 W 14th St

Wing Club Chicken Wings

P.C.: Wing Club

If Chelsea Market is too crowded, there is also Gansevoort Market nearby. Like Chelsea Market there are tons of options for foodies here like ceviche from Mission Ceviche, pizza from Enzo Bruni and juicy burgers from Burger Inc but our favorite is the Korean style chicken wings from Wing Club. They’re just exploding with flavor!

Bubby’s High Line – 73 Gansevoort St

Bubbys Fried Chicken and Pancakes

Bubby’s High Line is a very popular brunch spot that is less than a block away from the High Line. They have easily one of the best pancakes in New York City and we admit we are addicted to their fluffy pancakes served with their top notch fried chicken.

Fuku – 20 Hudson Yards Unit RU# 203A

Fuku Fried Chicken Sandwich

North of the High Line is Hudson Yards. You can find all sorts of exciting restaurants here but our favorite spot is actually Fuku. It is a great lunch spot and the star here is their fried chicken sandwiches. It’s so delicious! Just a warning, if you order anything spicy here it can get really spicy.

Dirty Bird to Go – 204 W 14th St

Dirty Bird to Go

P.C.: Dirty Bird To Go

Sticking with the fried chicken theme, on the south side of the High Line, there is also our absolute favorite spot for classic Southern style fried chicken, Dirty Bird. Their fried chicken is always super juicy and flavorful.

Untitled at the Whitney – 99 Gansevoort St

Untitled at the Whitney Small Plates

P.C.: Untitled at the Whitney

Finally, if you are looking for a more fine dining experience near the High Line, we recommend the Untitled at the Whitney. It is a beautiful restaurant at the Whitney Museum of American Art and we have not had a bad meal there. We recently had their gazpacho and it was just perfect for a hot day. Their cheeseburger was also amazing. This is the perfect way to end (or start) the day exploring the High Line.
