The Best Restaurants in Nolita, North of Little Italy, NYC

Nolita which stands for north of Little Italy and lies east of SoHo is sometimes overshadowed by its surrounding neighborhoods – yet most should know that it is a great foodie destination in New York City. Because they are so many new restaurant openings in the neighborhood, the list is constantly changing but here are the best restaurants in Nolita for 2014.

Black Seed Bagels – 170 Elizabeth St
Hand rolled, wood oven baked bagels! Enough said.

Parisi Bakery – 198 Mott St
Parisi Bakery is an old school Italian deli. Making a good sandwich can be an art and the staff at Parisi Bakery are truly masters of their craft. We highly recommend The Dennis, which has chicken cutlets, mozzarella and prosciutto. It is incredibly delicious.

Parm – 248 Mulberry St
Another good spot for sandwiches is Parm. As their name implies, you can’t go wrong with their chicken parmigiana sandwich.

Bacchanal – 146 Bowery
Bacchanal just opened on Bowery and it is on our short list of new and upcoming restaurants.

Pearl & Ash – 220 Bowery
A little further up is Pearl & Ash. Pearl & Ash focuses on smaller dishes to share and their menu is full of amazing dishes like their pork meatballs, lamb belly and grilled squid.

Cherche Midi – 282 Bowery
Cherche Midi recently took over the high profile corner spot from Pulino’s. It is now a classic French restaurant with scrumptious dishes ranging from steak frites to lobster ravioli.

Delicatessen – 54 Prince St
Delicatessen feels like it has been in the neighborhood forever. It serves American comfort food like buttermilk fried chicken in a modern, hip setting. Their cheeseburger spring rolls are an absolute must.

Ken & Cook – 19 Kenmare St
Ken & Cook is one of the favorite brunch spots in the neighborhood. Dishes like their omelet, shrimp & grits and croissant French toast have us coming back for more.

Cocoron – 37 Kenmare St
Are you in the mood for something different? How about Cocoron also on Kenmare St? Simply, they have some of the best soba noodles in New York City. You can get them hot or cold and both are delicious.

Lombardi’s Pizza – 32 Spring St
Last but certainly not least, Lombardi’s is a popular and iconic neighborhood pizza joint for both locals and visitors. Their pizza is an example of perfection. It has a nice thin crust and topped with amazing sauce and quality cheese. Nearby, L’asso (192 Mott St) is another excellent pizza place.
