The Seven Best Restaurants for NYC Restaurant Week, Summer 2017

Mark your calendars! NYC Restaurant Week is a four week foodie event that starts on July 24th and ends on August 18th this summer. Lunch is $29 and dinner is $42 and there are great deals all over the city. Looking for restaurant recommendations for Restaurant Week? Here are our picks for the seven best restaurants for NYC Restaurant Week, summer 2017.

Porsena – 21 E 7th St

Porsena is one the best restaurants for pasta in New York City and it has been one of our favorite restaurants in New York City in general. So we are very excited to find Porsena participating in Restaurant Week for the first time this year. Porsena’s specialty is pasta so we highly recommend the anelloni pasta and we can never resist a good panna cotta.

Mission Chinese Food – 171 E Broadway

With its fun take on classic Chinese dishes, Mission Chinese Food has been one of the most buzz worthy restaurants in the Lower East Side for a long time now. You can check out dishes like their lumpia Shanghai eggroll, spicy Chongqing chicken wings and green tea noodles.

Fogo de Chão – 40 W 53rd St

Fogo de Chão is an upscale all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse where all the meats are carved tableside. It is a lot of fun and their NYC Restaurant Week offer is an incredible deal.

The Palm – 206 West St

Also if you are looking for the classic steakhouse experience during NYC Restaurant Week, The Palm is one of your best bets. It has been a mainstay in the New York City dining scene for decades. You can’t go wrong with any of their steak dishes here.

The Dining Room at The Metropolitan Museum of Art – 1000 5th Avenue

The Dining Room at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is known for their stunning dishes and breath taking views of Central Park. We are looking forward to their chilled watermelon soup, chicken chorizo and chocolate manjari tart.

Cherche Midi – 282 Bowery

Cherche Midi has not one but four Restaurant Week menus (one for each week) to keep things exciting and to get you to come back for more. Chilled corn soup, steak frites, braised lamb shoulder and mussels are just a small sample of all dishes you can try.

Red Rooster Harlem – 310 Lenox Ave

Finally Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster in Harlem is always popping up on our top restaurants lists and we can’t leave it off this blog post. Red Rooster’s fried yardbird, Helga’s meatballs and shrimp and grits are all musts for lunch.
