But we could not do it without our tour partners so in this New York City business spotlight, we want to highlight what makes these shops and restaurants that we go to on tour so special! We encourage everyone to support all these shops and restaurants during this tough time. You can buy gift certificates and some are even offering some of their merchandise through phone orders or online.

Chinatown:

Silk Road Cafe is a neighborhood favorite for hot Chinese teas and yummy sweet boba teas! This is a great and inviting space in the heart of Chinatown to get a light snack and to meet with your friends.

Lung Moon Bakery – 83 Mulberry St

Lung Moon Bakery is full of tempting sweet treats and snacks and we absolutely love their egg tarts. They are perfect in every way with its sweet egg custard and super flaky crust.

Nom Wah Tea Parlor – 13 Doyers St

Dating back to 1920, Nom Wah Tea Parlor is the oldest dim sum restaurant in Chinatown. Everything here is made to order and delicious! We highly recommend their dumplings, buns and top notch egg rolls. Nom Wah Nolita (10 Kenmare St) is still open for deliveries and takeout and they have an online shop for some of their branded merchandise.

Tasty Dumpling – 42 Mulberry St

Tasty Dumpling Dumplings

Tasty Dumpling across the street from Columbus Park has been our pick for the juiciest dumplings in Chinatown. Every bite is bursting with flavor. Yum!

Little Italy:

Di Palo’s is a family owned shop, open for business since 1925 and it has amazing selection of Italian cheeses, cured meats, pasta sauces and so much more! It is truly your one stop shop if you are planning a hearty Italian meal. They also have a wine store next door and a wine bar around the corner. Alleva Dairy – 188 Grand St

Alleva Mozzarella and prosciutto tasting

Alleva Dairy is the oldest Italian cheese shop in the United States (est. 1892). After all these years in the neighborhood, they are still the best spot for creamy mozzarella. Just pair this mozzarella with a bit of prosciutto and it is heaven with every bite. We also absolutely love their sandwiches!

Ferrara Bakery & Cafe – 195 Grand St

Ferrara Cannoli

You can’t visit Little Italy without getting a cannoli and for cannoli and other yummy Italian desserts, you can’t beat Ferrara’s! It is almost hard to believe, they have been serving these top notch desserts since 1892. You can still order many of these treats on their website and have it shipped to you!

Benito One – 174 Mulberry St

Benito One Tasting
Benito One has been serving classic Italian dishes in Little Italy since 1968. This is a great spot for pastas and we especially recommend their eggplant rollatini. It is just scrumptious!
