What’s New in NYC Restaurant Week, Winter 2017

New York City Restaurant Week starts January 23rd and ends on February 10th this year. Some of the best restaurants in New York City will have prix- fixe meals ($29 for lunch and $42 for dinner). It is always a great deal! So are you looking for what’s new in NYC Restaurant Week, Winter 2017? Here are our picks for the best new participants this year.

Amada – 250 Vesey St

Amada led by chef Jose Garces is an exciting new tapas restaurant at Brookfield Place in Battery Park. Their Restaurant Week menu features a lot of the dishes we have been looking to try like the ham croquettes, garlic shrimp, beef short ribs and Spanish octopus. Yum!

Salvation Taco – 145 E 39th St

Salvation Taco is Chef April Bloomfield’s take on upscale Mexican cuisine. Empanadas, beer-battered fish and especially the pina colada tres leches all await us in the very near future.

STK Downtown – 26 Little West 12th Street

STK is a modern steakhouse that is making quite the name for themselves. Restaurant Week is a great time to see what all the buzz is about. Their steak and frites & the big eye tuna taratre are both obvious and absolute musts.

Tavern62 by David Burke – 135 E 62nd St

The name David Burke alone makes us perk up with excitement about Tavern62. Their seafood chowder, duck meatloaf sandwich, steakhouse cobb and of course David Burke’s signature cheesecake lollipop tree all sound amazing.

Quality Eats – 19 Greenwich Ave

Quality Eats in the West Village is a classic steakhouse synonymous with excellence. The grilled neuske’s bacon, top blade flatiron steak and s’mores will surely be an amazing lunch.

Haru Chelsea – 176 8th Ave

We love, love sushi and all that the Japanese cuisine offers. Haru Chelsea is an excellent addition to Restaurant Week. Sushi, sashmi and sake mussels? Count us in.

Le Coq Rico – 30 East 20th St

Finally Le Coq Rico opened less than a year ago and they are already renowned for their outstanding poultry dishes. So if you only go to one restaurant for Restaurant Week, you can’t go wrong with trying out their quarter chicken dish. We know we are very excited to try it!
