The Seven Best Restaurants in Midtown West

Midtown West is in the heart of Manhattan. It includes the neighborhoods Hell’s Kitchen, Times Square and the Theater District; some landmarks close by are Central Park, Bryant Park, the Museum of Modern Art and Lincoln Center. Midtown West also just happens to be a mecca of fine dining. You can truly find memorable meals here and this is our list of the seven best restaurants in Midtown West, New York City.

Angelo’s Pizza – 1697 Broadway

When you think of quintessential New York foods, pizza has to be up there on the list. One of our favorite pizzerias in New York City is Angelo’s Pizza. A bite of their pizza straight out of their coal oven is just pure bliss. It is so tasty that you don’t even need any toppings (but it is an option).

Benoit New York – 60 W 55th St

You will feel like you are dining in Paris at this upscale French bistro. Benoit New York really raises the bar of classic French cuisine in New York City with dishes like escargot, duck foie gras terrine and roasted cod.

Quality Italian – 57 W 57th St

Quality Italian is an Italian steakhouse synonymous with excellence so a prime dry aged steak from here is an absolute must. Their pasta like the campanelli rock shrimp Bolognese is delicious too.

Bar Americain – 152 W 52nd St

If you ever watch the Food Network, you most likely are familiar with the name Bobby Flay. Bar Americain is one Bobby Flay’s many restaurants and it is a great place to watch the food as it leaves the kitchen with its creative menu. Bar Americain is a great lunch spot for dishes such as smoked chicken pot pie, burger americain, lobster club sandwich and more.

Butter Midtown – 70 W 45th St

Sticking with the Food Network theme, Alex Guarnaschelli’s restaurant Butter moved from their trendy SoHo spot to Midtown a couple years back. Butter Midtown is another great spot for a tasty, juicy burger and we also highly recommend their New York strip steaks and tomahawk steaks too.

Bar Boulud – 1900 Broadway

Daniel Boulud has been a legend in the New York City dining scene and Bar Boulud is one of his flagship restaurants. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu but we love their hand- rolled potato gnocchi, Spanish frittatas and steak frites. Don’t even get us started about their desserts. They are SOOO good.

DB Bistro Moderne – 55 W 44th St

Finally another option is DB Bistro Moderne. It is Daniel Boulud’s take on a modern French bistro and we definitely recommend it for brunch. Try their risotto and flat iron steak and you’ll see why!

Duck Confit from Butter Restaurant
