New York City Restaurant Week Winter 2015 Recommendations

Time flies. New York City Restaurant Week is back from February 16 to March 6! It is a great time to explore the diverse New York dining scene and here are our recommendations. Trust us, this year there is a lot to look forward to!

Chez Josephine – 414 West 42nd St
Chez Josephine is a historic French Restaurant that has been a mainstay at New York City’s Theater Row for years. We are eying their Maine lobster bisque, braised short ribs and lemon tarte brûlée for dinner.

City Hall Restaurant – 131 Duane St
A steakhouse is always a must for NYC Restaurant Week and this year we are looking at City Hall Restaurant. It is a gorgeous classic steakhouse, just a short walk from Chinatown.

Beauty & Essex – 146 Essex St
Ironically Beauty & Essex is hidden behind a pawn shop and it is one of the most beautiful restaurants in New York City. Tuna poke wonton tacos? Brick pressed chicken with a creamy mascarpone polenta? Red velvet cupcakes? Yes please!

The Peacock – 24 East 39th St
If you are craving classic British dishes, there are honestly not many options in New York City. It is even rarer to have a restaurant that servers a mix of British comfort food and fine dining but The Peacock does just that. This year there is everything from the classic fish & chips and Shepherd’s pie to something like a roasted pear and Stilton risotto or a sunchoke veloute on their Restaurant Week menu.

JoJo – 160 East 64th St
JoJo is Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant located in a brownstone on the Upper East Side. There always has been a buzz behind JoJo and there is no better time to check it out than now. We are looking at the salmon sashimi with crushed olives and herbs, skate and Valrhona molten chocolate cake off their Restaurant Week menu.

David Burke Kitchen – 23 Grand St
David Burke Kitchen had one of the most exciting Restaurant Week menus last time around so it is on our must do list this year and you should have it on your list too! Their lobster dumpling soup, crispy whole hog, black sea bass, grilled berkshire pork paillard and toasted coconut tart all sound amazing.
